Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to have a debt-enforcement entry removed?

Yes. SwissReset relies on rights provided for by law (art. 8a DEBA): withdrawal by the creditor, non-disclosure, or court action. We do nothing illegal; we simply help you exercise your rights.

How long does a debt-enforcement entry stay visible?

A debt-enforcement entry stays visible for five years after the proceeding is closed. But depending on your situation, it can often be removed or made invisible much earlier.

How much does it cost?

The assessment is entirely free. If a path applies to your case, the pack of ready-to-send letters costs CHF 49, with no subscription and no hidden fees.

Do you send the letters for me?

Yes, if you wish. As an option (+15 CHF), you sign on screen, check the address, and we print your letter and hand it to Swiss Post as registered mail — with a tracking number. You can also simply receive the PDFs and send it yourself: we tell you exactly how.

What changed with the 2026 law?

The revision that came into force on 1 January 2026 makes non-disclosure easier: the deadline to file the request goes from one year to five years, and a definitively rejected attempt by the creditor no longer blocks you.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is hosted in Switzerland, in the Zurich region, and is never sold.

Removing a debt-enforcement entry from the register: where to start

What SwissReset is, and what it is not

SwissReset is a document-preparation and guidance service. We help you exercise rights provided for by law (art. 8a DEBA). We are not a law firm and do not provide individualised legal advice. For the court path, we refer you to a lawyer. Your data is processed in accordance with the revised FADP and hosted in Switzerland.
