Debt enforcement office, canton of Graubünden
Updated on 29 July 2026
In brief
In the canton of Graubünden, the competent debt enforcement office is in principle the one where you live. It issues the register extract (CHF 17) and receives non-disclosure requests. A closed proceeding stays disclosed to third parties there for 5 years (art. 8a para. 4 DEBA/SchKG).
Finding the right office is the first step of any procedure: a request sent to the wrong district comes back unprocessed. Here are the verified addresses for this canton, followed by what to do.
The canton of Graubünden has 11 district or municipal offices. Only the one where you live holds your entry: the others cannot process your request.

Getting your extract in the canton of Graubünden
The register extract is the document letting agencies and employers ask for. It costs CHF 17 (art. 12a OELP) and shows proceedings from the last five years.
- 1Identify the office for your place of residence in the list above.
- 2Order the extract online, by post or at the counter, with a copy of an ID document.
- 3Budget CHF 17 per extract; if you have moved, order one per district where you lived.
- 4Read the result carefully: a paid entry still appears, with its amount.
Having an entry removed in the canton of Graubünden
Debt enforcement law is federal: the legal routes are the same in every canton, only the office address changes. Depending on your situation, four routes exist.
Which office is competent if I moved away from the canton of Graubünden?
For new proceedings, the office where you now live is competent. Older entries, however, stay with the office of your former residence: to give a complete picture you need an extract from each district concerned.
Are the fees different in the canton of Graubünden?
No. Fees are set by federal law (OELP) and are therefore identical across Switzerland: CHF 17 for the register extract, CHF 40 for a non-disclosure request.
Can the office in Graubünden delete an entry if I ask?
No. The office applies the law and the decisions put before it; it cannot delete an entry on its own initiative. You need a withdrawal by the creditor, a non-disclosure decision, or a court decision.
